This had us thinking about other movies which stand out for their marketing campaigns. Here\u2019s a short blog on some of the most popular ones of all time.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li><strong>Ghajini, 2008<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Ghajini certainly gained immense popularity at the box office with their collection of over 90 crores across the globe. However, their interesting means of marketing is what put the movie on the map! The staff of well-known multiplexes in Mumbai fashioned the iconic Ghajini hairstyle in front of the audience watching Shah Rukh Khan\u2019s \u201cRab ne Bana Di Jodi\u201d. The people found it quite fascinating and became a talking point for many.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>3 idiots, 2009&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Another masterpiece by Aamir Khan that became a roaring success has to be 3 idiots. Amir Khan presented a challenge to his fans with a campaign called \u201cFind Aamir\u201d to guess his whereabouts with the help of interesting clues. These clues were provided on social media sites. Infact, the first clue was to be announced by world famous Sachin Tendulkar. The lucky winners were given a chance to celebrate New Year\u2019s Eve with the superstar himself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This innovative way of marketing successfully involves people with much enthusiasm. Additionally, a marketing strategy associated with India\u2019s most loved cricketer adds to the appeal of the campaign.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Aashiqui 2, 2013&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The musical journey of Aashiqui 2&nbsp; rules our hearts even today. The movie makers decided to set up a mannequin of the couple holding the jackets over their heads standing close inside the movie hall. This created quite a hype and stood out as a unique strategy for advertising inside the seating area of cinema halls. This is an interesting way to allure the youth, awakening the romantic spirit in them! The wonderful music, as their forte was used at bus shelters, a melodious bliss for commuters. They&nbsp; used a high octane campaign capitalising on print, television, digital and outdoor advertising.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Dark Knight, 2008&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Exploring the West, it was ingenious of The Dark Knight\u2019 s pre-releasing marketing campaign&nbsp; to incorporate&nbsp; alternate reality games. The audience had to solve numerous riddles on the Internet and find objects in reality. There were several in-person meetings conducted for the fans in New York and Chicago.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There have been numerous others, which made a mark on the box office and our minds, with the marketing and the plot. From reinventing hashtags, to exploring filters, benging out quirky merchandise to influencer tieups. Movie marketing is definitely sparking a frenzy in the film fraternity.
