Logo controversies hit a new height with the Myntra brand\nlogo being misinterpreted for all the wrong reasons. Well, here\u2019s a solution to\nall the brands facing the issue of being misunderstood. Remember the classic\ncult movie <em>Thank you for smoking<\/em>? Nick Naylor nailed it when he said, \u201c<em>That\u2019s\nthe beauty of an argument. If you argue correctly, you\u2019re never wrong.<\/em>\u201d\nWith that thought, here\u2019s another #DotsFired and we will be speaking about the\nprobable solution that can be adopted by all brands henceforth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our Thoughts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brands should definitely reintroduce their logos with <strong>statutory\nwarnings<\/strong> from now on. Why not? Every letter in the alphabet is open to be\nmisconstrued. If we cannot use the letter in its basic form, we are afraid our\neducation system would be including hieroglyphs as our first language in schools\nand we all would be learning it by force. If not, we should all possess a basic\nsense of alphabetic and colour comprehension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A fine arts student spends almost INR 40,000 per year to\nlearn colour theories, contrasts, high keys, low keys, gradients, and whatnot.\nWhen someone who doesn\u2019t understand the intricacies of design thinking makes a\ncontroversial statement like \u201c<em>it looks offensive<\/em>\u201d, it definitely sparks\na war. And, knowing what artists think and feel, they would fight back with the\npower of art itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking of art &amp; artists, there\u2019s a lot of thought\nthat goes behind creating a brand identity. There are several spoken, written,\nunspoken and unwritten rules that artists follow (willingly) to ensure that the\nlogo represents the brand in its entirety. Here are the steps that they follow\n\u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Brand Is Assessed Thoroughly:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reason why a creative brief plays a significant role\nin creating a brand identity is crystal clear \u2013 it represents the whole brand.\nA lot of information is required to create one particular design element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Research Is Mandatory:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To avoid plagiarism and other \u201coffensive\u201d counterattacks\nthat the brand can possibly face, the branding agency professionals conduct\nmeticulous research so that the brand logo stands out from the rest in the\nclutter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Where Will The Brand Logo Be\nSeen?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While creating a brand logo, the designers have to\naccount for its presence across all platforms.
